Wareham resident Chris Christopoulos received his Eagle Scout badge on April 12.

The ceremony was held at Battleship Cove in Fall River. The location was relevant as Chris’s Eagle Scout project was cleaning the kitchen on the Kennedy, a retired Destroyer class ship kept there.

Select Board Chair Judith Whiteside said the project took him three years.

“He’s really an interesting kid,” Whiteside said at an April 1 Select Board meeting.

Chris is a member of Boy Scout Troop 31 located in Rochester.
