Jayne L. (McGowan) Green, 73
WAREHAM – Jayne L. (McGowan) Green, 73, of Wareham, passed away on September 9, 2026, at Tobey Hospital. She was the wife of the late John J. Green and the daughter of the late John “Jake” and Louise (Willey) McGowan.
She was born in Brockton and lived in Wareham for many years. She graduated from Brockton High School, class of 1970.
Mrs. Green worked as a medical coder for Wiegandt and Associates Internal Medicine for many years before retiring.
She was a member of the Wareham-New Bedford Lodge of Elks. She enjoyed going to the Fan Club, solving puzzles and golfing.
Survivors include her son, Michael Green and his wife, Laura of Salem, NH; a daughter, Tracy Green and her husband, Roel Dekkers of Buzzards Bay; a grandson, Landon Dekkers. She was the sister of the late Jack McGowan and Jim McGowan.
Visiting hours are from 4 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, September 15, 2026, at Chapman Funerals & Cremations – WAREHAM, 2599 Cranberry Hwy., Wareham.
Her funeral will be held at 9:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 16, 2026, from Chapman Funerals & Cremations – WAREHAM, 2599 Cranberry Hwy., Wareham, followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m. at St. Patrick’s Church, 94 High St., Wareham. Burial will be in St. Patrick’s Cemetery.
